08.09.07 :: one day two ways workshop

I attended this one day workshop in San Fransisco hosted by Nate Kaiser & Susan Stripling. I was excited to learn some new techniques from Nate of “theimageisfound“. He is a photographer that continues to impress me with his images that are far beyond the ordinary and has been one of my long time favorites. Though I was kind of bummed that we didn’t get to shoot as much as I would like, I still took back some great lessons that I can’t wait to try out again. I couldn’t believe when I got home, I realized that I had only taken less than 150 shots of my entire trip, travel included! So sad… Below are a few shots from our of camera lighting assignment. They are of Ed Pingol and Erwin Wijanto, two other really awesome photographers that I finally got to meet in person, along with a special thanks to Melissa of “dimplesphotography” who helped me navigate through the crazy streets! The first shot is Nate shooting Ed, then our lighting technique assignments, the rest of the images are just a couple of shots I took for fun. San Fransisco is such an awesome place to shoot, the locations are endless. I need to go back soon and really make it a photo mission.

08.06.07 :: amanda + josh

Today I joined a group of photographers (Jeanette Sanchez, Rowena Curtis, and Dawn Malone) to help shoot a very special wedding. You can read the entire story about this couple on Jeanette’s blog. Long story short, he’s the bass player for Seventh Day Slumber, a rockin christian rock band, and together the couple has a unique story that made this day extra special. Thanks again to Jeanette for having me along, and best wishes to Amanda and Josh! Here are some of my shots from today. PS. sorry I took so long to post this, I was on a MUCH needed vacation!

Today I shot at a brand new venue called “Serendipity“, located high in the hills of Oak Glen. This place really lives up to it’s name. Such a calm, peaceful place, with some of the most killer views I’ve seen in a long time complete with a super friendly staff. If your looking for a unique and new place to get married, give them a call or visit their site (coming soon). Ok on to the happy couple now! These two were high school sweethearts that tied the knot today. The bride was stunning, and the groom was as cool as could be, complete with a set of converse “Chuck’s”. Here are a few favs from today.
